The Markie Awards have celebrated the art and science of marketing for more than a decade. 2019 marked a new phase for the awards, expanding to honor the architects of standout customer experiences newly spanning marketing, sales, service, and commerce. A Markie is awarded to innovators who are paving the way in modern CX—those leading the industry and pushing the boundaries of Oracle’s CX technology. The 2019 Markies were meant to showcase all those behind a great customer experience and honor the minds behind the (customer) experience ahead. It was our job to address this change in award entries, while advancing the prestige and value of what a Markie Award means to the customer experience industry.
This initial sketch shows how we wanted to deconstruct the Markies symbol itself to literally show all the micro moments and work that goes into creating show stopping work.
